What technology or equipment do I need for an online session?

A smartphone, tablet, or laptop with a front-facing camera and microphone. A stable internet connection (Wi-Fi or 4G). A clear, well-lit space at home — enough room to stand, bend, and walk a few steps for the movement assessment. No special equipment required. If you have a yoga mat or resistance band, that helps for the exercise demonstration portion, but is not mandatory.

How long is an online consultation?

First consultation: 45 minutes. This includes full assessment, diagnosis, and exercise prescription. Follow-up sessions: 30 minutes, focused on progress review, technique refinement, and programme progression. Sessions run on time and you receive a reminder 30 minutes before your appointment.

What platforms does Dr. Bajpai use for video consultations?

WhatsApp Video (most popular — no app download needed), Google Meet, or Zoom. You choose the platform you are most comfortable with when booking. All platforms are end-to-end encrypted for privacy.

Do you offer a free initial call before committing to a full consultation?

Yes. A free 15-minute discovery call is available to help you understand whether online physiotherapy is right for your condition, get an initial impression of the likely diagnosis, and ask any questions about the process. No clinical assessment is performed in this call. To book your free call, WhatsApp +91 98183 99214.

Effectiveness & Scope

Is online physiotherapy as effective as in-person physiotherapy?

For the majority of musculoskeletal conditions — yes. Multiple clinical studies (including research published in the Journal of Telemedicine and Telecare) confirm that telerehabilitation achieves equivalent outcomes to in-person physiotherapy for back pain, neck pain, knee pain, shoulder conditions, and sports rehabilitation. Dr. Bajpai uses a structured video-based assessment protocol that is just as diagnostically rigorous as an in-clinic assessment. The only limitation is manual therapy (hands-on manipulation, dry needling, ultrasound) — which accounts for a minority of physiotherapy treatment. Exercise therapy, education, and self-management — which drive most long-term recovery — are fully deliverable online.

What conditions can be effectively treated with online physiotherapy?

Online physiotherapy is highly effective for: back pain (disc bulge, sciatica, facet joint pain, muscle strain), neck pain (cervical spondylosis, disc herniation, text neck, whiplash), knee conditions (osteoarthritis, patellofemoral pain, ACL/meniscus post-surgical rehab), shoulder conditions (frozen shoulder, rotator cuff tear, impingement), postural problems (forward head posture, rounded shoulders, scoliosis management), sports injuries (sprains, tendinopathies, muscle tears), paediatric physiotherapy (developmental delays, toe walking, hypermobility), post-surgical rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation (stroke recovery, Parkinson’s), and workplace ergonomics.

Are there conditions that cannot be treated online?

Any condition requiring hands-on manual therapy as the primary treatment modality will benefit from in-person care — for example, joint mobilisation for severe stiffness or trigger point dry needling. Conditions with acute severe symptoms requiring urgent in-person assessment (suspected fracture, significant neurological deficit, red flag symptoms such as loss of bladder or bowel control) should be assessed in person or at a hospital first. Dr. Bajpai will advise you honestly during your consultation if your condition is better served in-person.

How does Dr. Bajpai assess me through a camera? Can she really diagnose remotely?

Video-based physiotherapy assessment uses validated clinical tests that do not require physical contact — including posture observation, gait analysis, active and passive range-of-motion testing, functional movement screens, and provocation tests. Dr. Bajpai has been performing video assessments since 2020 and has developed a systematic protocol for remote clinical examination. She will guide you through each test step by step. Studies show that physiotherapist inter-rater agreement for video-based assessments is comparable to in-person examination for most musculoskeletal conditions.

Can online physiotherapy help with sports injuries?

Yes. Dr. Bajpai is a sports physiotherapy specialist. Online sessions for sports injuries cover initial triage and rule-out of serious structural damage (with referral for imaging if needed), evidence-based rehabilitation programming, return-to-sport progression, injury prevention and training load management, and technique correction for sport-specific movements via video analysis. Athletes from cricket, football, running, badminton, swimming, and gym training have been successfully rehabilitated online.

Can children receive online physiotherapy?

Yes. Dr. Bajpai has dedicated paediatric physiotherapy expertise. Online paediatric sessions are effective for developmental delay assessment, coordination and balance therapy, hypermobility and joint pain, toe walking, flat feet correction, and post-surgical rehabilitation in children. Sessions are child-friendly — Dr. Bajpai engages directly with the child through the screen with age-appropriate instructions, while parents assist with positioning. A parent or guardian must be present throughout the session.

Booking & Scheduling

How do I book an online consultation?

The fastest method is WhatsApp: send a message to +91 98183 99214 with your name, your concern (e.g. “lower back pain for 3 months”), and your preferred time slot (morning or evening). You will receive a booking confirmation within 2 hours. Alternatively, fill the booking form on the Contact page. Dr. Bajpai personally reviews every inquiry.

Are same-day consultations available?

Yes. Same-day slots are available Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 7 PM, subject to availability. WhatsApp in the morning for the best chance of a same-day slot. Urgent cases are prioritised.

What are the consultation hours?

Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST. Sunday appointments can be arranged for urgent cases on request. NRI patients in different time zones can arrange early morning or late evening slots by prior arrangement.

Can NRI patients (patients outside India) book consultations?

Yes. Dr. Bajpai sees NRI patients across the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, UAE, and other countries. Sessions are conducted in IST — early morning or evening slots are available to accommodate international time zones. Payment can be made via international bank transfer, PayPal, or UPI. Please WhatsApp +91 98183 99214 for international booking coordination.

How do I reschedule or cancel an appointment?

WhatsApp +91 98183 99214 at least 4 hours before your scheduled appointment to reschedule. Cancellations with less than 2 hours’ notice may result in a rescheduling fee. We understand emergencies happen — please communicate as early as possible and we will accommodate wherever possible.

Fees & Pricing

What is the cost of an online physiotherapy consultation?

First consultation (45 min): ₹1,999. Follow-up session (30 min): ₹1,499. Package of 3 sessions: ₹7,499 (includes one assessment + two follow-ups with written report and exercise plan). A free 15-minute discovery call is available to assess suitability before committing. Payment can be made via UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm) or bank transfer.

Are there any hidden charges?

No. The fee includes the video consultation, written diagnosis report, personalised exercise programme, and email support for clarifications post-session. If prescription of exercises involves a specific resistance band or tool, you will be advised but not charged for the recommendation. There are no additional charges.

Is physiotherapy covered by health insurance?

Some health insurance policies in India do cover physiotherapy — however, coverage for online/teleconsultation physiotherapy varies significantly between insurers. We recommend checking your policy terms. Dr. Bajpai can provide a detailed consultation invoice and diagnosis summary for insurance reimbursement claims. For specific insurance queries, WhatsApp +91 98183 99214.

Is the pricing different for paediatric sessions or sports physiotherapy?

The consultation fee structure is the same for all specialisations — ₹1,999 for a 45-minute first session. Paediatric sessions and sports physio sessions may occasionally run slightly longer if a detailed developmental assessment or sport-specific movement analysis is required, at no extra charge.

After the Consultation

What do I receive after my online session?

Within 24 hours of your session, Dr. Bajpai emails you: a written diagnosis summary explaining your condition, its root causes, and contributing factors; a personalised exercise programme with written instructions and where possible, exercise video links; lifestyle and ergonomic recommendations relevant to your daily routine; a follow-up care plan indicating when your next session should ideally be; and WhatsApp contact for any questions about your programme.

How do I perform the exercises correctly at home without supervision?

Dr. Bajpai demonstrates every exercise live during your consultation and corrects your technique in real time. The written plan includes detailed instructions with descriptions of the correct form, sets/reps/frequency, and what to avoid. Links to exercise demonstration videos are included wherever available. During follow-up sessions, technique is reviewed and refined. If you have any doubts, WhatsApp with a short video of your exercise and Dr. Bajpai will review and advise.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends entirely on your condition and its severity. Many patients with acute mechanical back pain or a recent sports injury see significant improvement within 3–5 sessions. Chronic conditions (e.g. long-standing sciatica, frozen shoulder at a late stage, post-surgical rehab) may require 8–12+ sessions over 2–3 months. Dr. Bajpai will give you an honest prognosis and timeline during your first consultation. The goal is always to get you self-managing as quickly as possible.

Can I contact Dr. Bajpai between sessions if I have questions?

Yes. WhatsApp support between sessions is included for questions about your exercises, technique doubts, or any unexpected changes in your symptoms. Dr. Bajpai or her team will respond within 24 hours on working days. For urgent medical concerns, please contact your nearest emergency services.

Is my consultation information kept confidential?

Yes. All consultations are conducted as private one-on-one video calls. No session is recorded without your explicit consent. All personal health information is handled in accordance with applicable data protection standards. Your data is never shared with third parties.
